The decision to go online is part of NAMCYA’s initiatives to harness technology to search for and discover outstanding young Filipino musical artists wherever they may be in the Philippines.

With over 79 million active internet users in the country, the majority of which belongs to the youth sector, the move promises to open the competition arena to more young artists.

Established in 1973, NAMCYA has proven to be an effective springboard in launching the careers of numerous young Filipino artists in various areas of musical performance, such as choral singing, piano, chamber music, family ensemble, and indigenous instruments.
